Despite the fact that there are international norms and principles of star system rating, each country itself decides on what principle it will distribute stars to the hotels. And if the hotel has advantages over competitors, but they are not enough for a higher class, the "+" sign is placed next to the number of stars to emphasize the competitive advantage. For example, "4 * +" means that in addition to meeting the requirements for a four-star hotel, it also includes some of the services typical to a five-star hotel.
You should not expect comfort from zero star hotels. More often they are guest houses or hostels. It is possible that 10 or more people stay in one room at night, and there can be bunk beds. Such hotels are preferred by tourists with a limited budget or active tourists, for whom the hotel is a place to spend the night with minimal facilities. The bathrooms and showers are almost always shared and are located not on the room, but on the floor. One-star hotels have not only shared, but also standard 1 or 2-bed rooms with their own bathroom. But the area of the rooms is noticeably small. Two-star hotels often have a restaurant where you can have breakfast. The rooms here are more spacious, there is a TV, air conditioner. Also there are armchairs or chairs, table and a wardrobe. Three-star hotel - what should be in the room? They are more spacious than two stars. These rooms include a refrigerator, mini-bar, beddings, towels (minimum 3 for each guest) and they are changed daily. Such hotels are intended for medium-budget tourists, and they are located away from the city center and tourist attractions. What should a four-star hotel have? Hygiene items, shower gel, toothbrush and toothpaste, combs are provided for each guest in the bathroom. Valuable items and documents can be stored right in the room, in a fireproof safe. Even two-storey four-star hotels have an elevator, and there should be a restaurant, a swimming pool and a gym in the area. Five Star Hotel - What is included in the price of the room? You can feel at home in a five-star hotel. There is even stationery here, and guests are served on a 24-hour basis. The interiors of five-star hotels are thought out to the smallest detail. But there are so many luxury hotels in the world that it is impossible to consider them as five-star. After all, they have a royal luxury. That's why there is one, unofficial, seven-star rating, earned by only 7 hotels around the world.
